What each contract type does
- Underlying token, the issuer's ERC-20. This is what you hold in your wallet and what you supply.
- zToken, your interest-bearing deposit receipt. It accrues in place and burns when you withdraw. It is never itself listed as collateral.
- Variable debt token, the record of what you owe. Non-transferable, and it grows with accrued interest.
- Price feed, the Chainlink Standard Proxy. The protocol reads it through a validating adapter rather than directly; see Prices & Market Hours.
